North Macedonia in the World

On 12 September 2016, the Embassy of the Republic of Macedonia in Zagreb organized a reception on the occasion of Macedonia’s Independence Day – 8 September. The event was addressed by Ambassador Daniela Karagjozoska, who referred to relations between Macedonia and Croatia, as well as current internal developments in the Republic of Macedonia over these past 25 years.



The event included video projections of the most popular tourism and cultural locations in Macedonia, while guests had the opportunity to enjoy the taste of Macedonian wine and rakija. In addition, the Macedonian female choir “Momi Biserni” from Zagreb performed famous Macedonian folk songs.

The event attended by over 350 guests, including the President of Croatian Parliament, Zeljko Rajner, the Minister of Agriculture, Davor Romik, the mayor of Zagreb, Milan Bandik, representatives of numerous Croatian municipalities, as well as Ambassadors accredited to Croatia, was held at the Esplanade Hotel in Zagreb.
