The Charge D’Affaires at the Embassy, Aleksandar Krstevski delivered his address at the official reception where he referred to the benefits as well as the obstacles Macedonia has faced since declaring its independence, emphasizing that the membership in the EU and NATO remain the country’s primary objective. The objectives of our genuine friend, Bosnia and Herzegovina follow the same line which has encouraged selfless mutual support towards achieving this common goal – full-fledged membership in the European and Euro-Atlantic structures.

The tragic plane crash that claimed the life of Macedonia’s president Boris Trajkovski, members of delegation and the cabin crew of the government aircraft as well as the helicopter crash when 11 members of the Macedonian Army who participated in the EUFOR Mission in Bosnia tragically lost their lives were included among moments which have undoubtedly contributed to creating additional relations and ties with Bosnia and Herzegovina and as events that are marked each year with dignity in the presence of high-representatives of both countries.
