North Macedonia in the World

On 29 September 2016 in the St. Matthews Church in Stockholm, the Embassy of the Republic of Macedonia in the Kingdom of Sweden organised a benefit concert for the aid of families affected by the floods which happened on 6 August in Skopje and Tetovo.

Macedonian guitarist Darko Bageski and the female choir St. Zlata Meglenska performed at the concert. The Ambassador of the Republic of Macedonia to Sweden, Aleksandra Nakjeva-Ruzin addressed the audience, and informed them of the consequences of the floods, and expressed her gratitude for the donations and the financial help for the organisation of the event in the capital of Sweden.

Besides the humanitarian aspect of the event, the outstanding performances of the guitarist Darko Bageski and the female choir St. Zlata Meglenska provided an opportunity to present Macedonian musical art in Sweden. The event was attended by representatives of the diplomatic corps, Swedish and international institutions and organizations, the Academy and the Macedonian diaspora in Stockholm.
