Welcoming the idea to discuss the challenges that the region, and in particular young people are facing, Minister Dimitrov emphasised that "the initiative is very close to what we are trying to achieve – create space and opportunities for cooperation and competition based on values and criteria, in order to create European surroundings and future for young people here, at home". Furthermore, in the context of the Euro-Atlantic integration, "the success of one country in the Region is an impetus for all other neighbouring countries".

Participants in the discussion, including representatives of youth organisations, voiced the opinion that the Prespa Agreement is a progressive factor that can serve as a model for resolving other regional issues. Furthermore, its practical aspects form the basis for regional connectivity and cooperation in the fields which are essential for young generations – education, science, research, culture, technology, healthcare and sport.
