The Minister of Foreign Affairs Nikola Dimitrov will lead the government delegation tomorrow (Monday, 10 June 2019) in Sofia to take part in the first meeting of the Joint Intergovernmental Commission between the Republic of North Macedonia and the Republic of Bulgaria, co-chaired by Minister Dimitrov and Bulgaria's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ekaterina Zakharieva.

 

The meeting of the Commission is held in accordance with the obligations stemming from the Treaty of friendship, good-neighbourliness and cooperation signed between the two countries in August 2017.

Within the programme of the Intergovernmental Commision, bilateral meetings are foreseen between Ministers Dimitrov and Zahkarieva, as well as between counterpart ministers of economy, defense, local self-government, education and science, transport and communication; where interlocutors will discuss the progress achieved in these areas since the signing of the Treaty of friendship, good-neighbourliness and cooperation as well as future activities and projects.
