his afternoon in Skopje, the Minister of Foreign Affairs Nikola Dimitrov hosted a meeting with a delegation of the former Stability Pact for South-Eastern Europe led by the former Vice-Chancellor  of Austria and final SP Special Coordinator, Dr. Erhard Busek.

The meeting, held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of North Macedonia, tackled the current developments in the country and the region with an emphasis on the Prespa Agreement, as one of the main interests of the expert group.

The former Austrian Vice-Chancellor, Dr. Busek welcomed the Prespa Agreement and underlined the visionary role of the politicians from the two countries, stressing that this Agreement can serve as a model for resolving other difficult issues both in the region and beyond.

FM Dimitrov, for his part, briefed on the current political situation and the achievements on internal as well as external plan. In addition, interlocutors discussed the anticipated political decision to start accession negotiations with the EU. In this context, Minister Dimitrov said: “Neither we, nor the EU afford the luxury of passing up an opportunity to consolidate the success our country has been in these past two years. That is why we will give our best to convince them of the obvious.
