Discussions at the meeting focused on regional cooperation and issues of common interest for the European Union and Western Balkan countries.

On this occasion, FM Dimitrov noted: “In view of our European expectations this October, despite certain challenges and imperfections, what we have achieved in the past two years undoubtedly deserves a conclusive validation from our European friends. Moreover, I would like to emphasize once again that our European story began long ago and I believe you will all agree that the time has come for the next step towards a deepened European path, leading to the completion of Europe. And none of us here has the luxury of allowing ourselves to become the collateral damage of any other issue that is out of our hands”.
