At the meetings, full understanding was voiced of our expectations and European aspirations as well as hope that European leaders will still be able to reach a consensus on the well-deserved decision to start negotiations with North Macedonia. Furthermore, opinions were exchanged on future steps, as well as on the implications of failing to adopt a decision in the country, the Western Balkans region as well as the credibility itself of the European perspective that was promised.

In the afternoon, FM Dimitrov is set to join the activities of Prime Minister Zaev's agenda: meetings with the High Commissioner for Enlargement and Neighbourhood Policy, Johannes Hahn, European Parliament President, David Maria Sassoli and European Council President, Donald Tusk.
