The Minister of Foreign Affairs Nikola Dimitrov is paying a working visit to Geneva on 7 and 8 November 2019 as part of the delegation led by Prime Minister Zoran Zaev with the purpose of attending the summit hosted by the World Economic Forum in Geneva titled “Strategic Dialogue on the Western Balkans”.

On the sidelines of the leaders’ summit, Minister Dimitrov met with the Foreign Minister of Greece, Nikos Dendias. At the meeting they exchanged views on the latest developments   in bilateral relations, the situation in the region as well as its European perspective in the aftermath of the last European Council. Minister Dimitrov voiced satisfaction with the current cooperation with Greece and its engagement in favour of opening accession talks between North Macedonia and the European Union. In this context, he underlined the expectation that Greece will continue to be a strong supporter and advocate of our EU integration.

 The two ministers agreed on the prospects for advancing the political dialogue and intensifying the bilateral cooperation in all areas of mutual interest with the further implementation of the Prespa Agreement.
