The conference of the honorary consuls was opened with the introductory remarks by the Minister of Economy, Kreshnik Bekteshi and the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of North Macedonia, Andrej Zernovski.

 

On the occasion of marking the national holiday 11 October, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of North Macedonia organized today the 23rd traditional diplomatic tennis tournament on the tennis courts of TC Evroset in Skopje.

 

North Macedonia welcomes the consistent support of the Republic of Bulgaria for the enlargement of the European Union with the Western Balkan countries. Furthermore, we believe that compliance with the Treaty of good-neighbourliness on both sides will be an important step in context of the accession negotiations with the EU.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Nikola Dimitrov participated, yesterday evening in Stip, in a panel discussion titled "The role of the Republic of North Macedonia in NATO" held within the framework of the "NATO Caravan" organized by the Info Centre for Euro-Atlantic Integration.  Aside from Minister Dimitrov, the Ambassador of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, Rachel Galloway also spoke at the panel.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Nikola Dimitrov, met today with two members of the German Bundestag, Metin Hakverdi and Christian Petry.

 

The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Andrej Zernovski, met today with Patrizia Di Giovanni, the newly appointed UNICEV representative to the Republic of North Macedonia. On this occasion, Ms. Di Giovanni presented Deputy FM Zernovski with the copies of her credentials.

 

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Nikola Dimitrov received today the newly appointed Ambassador of the PR of China to the Republic of North Macedonia, Zhang Zuo.

 

 

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Nikola Dimitrov delivered introductory remarks today at the conference organized at the Council of Europe Programme Office in Skopje, under the auspices of the joint activities of the European Union and the Council of Europe for the Western Balkan countries within the regional launching of the second phase of the Horizontal Facility for the Western Balkans and Turkey.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs Nikola Dimitrov addressed today, at the MFA, the young diplomats from the countries of the region participating in the Regional School of Diplomacy. Speaking at the thematic panel: “The Diplomatic Experiences and Lessons Learned from the Prespa Agreement negotiations and International Perspectives”, Minister Dimitrov noted the challenges in the negotiation process and the benefits of the agreement reached with Greece. He pointed out that the final agreement was preceded by numerous challenges whose overcoming required patience, wisdom, courage and vision on both sides.

The Federal Minister for Europe, Integration and Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Austria, Alexander Schallenberg paid an official visit, today, to the Republic of North Macedonia.
