The Directorate for Analytical Research, Strategic and Long-Term Foreign Policy Planning and Diplomatic Archive coordinates the development of long-term platforms on issues of particular importance for the development of the national foreign policy; leads the organization of conferences, debating fora, informative debates, presentations, publications, and more; coordinates the comprehensive process of implementation of the Reflection 2030 national ten-year foreign policy strategy; coordinates the processes of drafting the biannual strategic plans of the Ministry, the annual work plan of the Ministry and the process of evaluating the implementation of the annual initiatives of the Ministry; coordinates comprehensive activities on the further development of the diplomatic archive, the digitization of archival materials and carruing out the process of their appropriate public presentation; coordinates cooperation with domestic and foreign institutions, scientific research centers, the think-tank community, scientific associates, experts and analysts from the Republic of North Macedonia and abroad; carries out analytical research and strategic planning; ensures coordination and cooperates with competent institutions and bodies in the country; prepares guidelines and instructions for the national representations abroad and monitors their work; cooperates with foreign and international representative offices accredited to the Republic of North Macedonia; organizes and evaluates the work of the departments under its jurisdiction and national representations abroad; performs other duties within its purview.
11.1 Sector for Analytical and Geostrategic Research and Foreign Policy Strategic Planning
The Sector for Analytical and Geostrategic Research and Foreign Policy Strategic Planning prepares annual plans and reports on its work; carries out and coordinates activities and tasks related to analytical research, strategic planning; processes data, analytical reviews and information on current foreign policy, economic and other relevant developments in the world; makes assessments of elements that determine the international position of the Republic of North Macedonia; monitors current media communication in order to prepare analytical materials; drafts assessments of the state of affairs in international relations; proposes elements for the rhythm and sequence of measures and procedures relating to the implementation of the foreign policy planned; proposes national positions and priorities in the field of foreign policy; examines and collects all relevant knowledge within the competence of the Ministry in cooperation with its relevant organizational departments, other national authorities, organizations, as well as scientific institutions and relevant individuals; prepares the strategic plan of the Ministry; leads the comprehensive process of implementation of the Reflection 2030 national ten-year foreign policy strategy; organizes and carries out the preparation of long-term platforms for new directions, priorities, and projects of the Ministry of particular importance for the development of the national foreign policy; ensures coordination and cooperates with other competent institutions and bodies in the country; prepares guidelines and instructions for the national representations abroad and monitors their work; cooperates with foreign and international representative offices accredited to the Republic of North Macedonia; organizes and evaluates the work of the units under its jurisdiction and national representations abroad; performs other duties within its purview.

11.2 Diplomatic Archives Sector
The Diplomatic Archives Sector prepares annual work plans and reports; carries out and coordinates the activities and tasks related to coordinating the process of appropriate arrangement and inventory taking of the comprehensive fund of archival materials stored in the Diplomatic Archives, their categorization, placement, protection, and security within appropriate space and physically standardized equipment (shelves, cabinets and safes) for purposes of their adequate storage, all in keeping with the Law on Archival Materials, the Law on Foreign Affairs and other secondary legislation; coordinates the process of collecting archival materials of lasting value under the jurisdiction of the organizational units within the Ministry and of the diplomatic missions and consular posts of the Republic of North Macedonia abroad; coordinates the process of establishing a Commission for the Declassification of Classified Archival Material Identified as Part of the Overall Archival Fund of the Diplomatic Archives; coordinates the process of digitization of archival materials; coordinates the process of electronic and digitized openness and accessibility of archival materials to be used by the science and researchers community; coordinates the process of bilateral, regional, and international cooperation in the field of diplomatic archives and in the field of development of new digital processing and presentation of archival materials technologies; initiates and coordinates events and exhibitions in the field of diplomatic archival studies; initiates and coordinates the process of preparation, publication, and presentation of theme-based archival publications of the Diplomatic Archives; organizes and evaluates the work of the units under its jurisdiction; and performs other tasks within its purview.

11.3 Sector for Diplomatic Training and Education
The Sector for Diplomatic Training and Education prepares annual work plans and reports; carries out and coordinates activities and tasks related to the continuous diplomatic training of administrative officers at the Ministry, education of newly recruited personnel; preparation and organization of diplomatic exams and counselor exams; actively participates in the preparations of administrative officers for taking diplomatic and counselor exams; participates in the drafting of the Diplomatic Exam Program; organizes lectures in accordance with the Rulebook on the Manner of Conducting Diplomatic Exams; develops and organizes courses, lectures, and workshops in the country; reports on courses, trainings, seminars and study programs abroad offered by the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of individual countries, diplomatic academies and institutes for international relations and provides logistical support in that regard to Ministry staff; organizes foreign language courses; actively cooperates with relating institutions in the region and beyond; prepares the pre-deployment preparation plan for diplomats and actively participates in their preparation before being deployed to the missions of the country abroad and organizes their final discussions and diplomatic mission statement presentations before senior staff at the Ministry and other relevant authorities.
